RPW Systems have implemented quality management systems to the requirements of ISO9001 into a number of different organisations but we have also implemented a number specialised management systems into a number different industry areas.
Examples of these standards are:-
R&TTE Directive establishes a regulatory framework for placing on the market, free movement and putting into service of radio equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment (R&TTE).
Product Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX 95) which defines the essential health and safety requirements for manufacturers of equipment for the use in explosive atmospheres.
ISO 17021:2006 is the standard which defines the requirements that certification bodies have to comply to in order to issue ISO9001 certificates. These systems have to be independently verified by the national notified body. For the UK the notified body is UKAS.
ISO 17020:1998 is the standard which defines the general criteria that Inspection bodies must follow to conduct statutory inspections. Again these systems have to be independently verified by the national notified body. For the UK the notified body is UKAS.
The Private Security Industry Act 2001 requires security firms to establish a system so they meet the agreed standards and be registered as approved then providers of security services and may advertise themselves as such. The objective of the SIA's Approved Contractor scheme is to raise performance standards and to assist the private security industry in developing new opportunities.
